The Video cast

The very short videocast was about how to convert a scanned image into a file document by free software. We can go online to www.ocrtools.com, and download free OCR Image ASCII Text Desktop Application. Then he talks about how the program is working. He clearly teaches us how to convert an image into a file document.

 I think that is really a great thing because I did not that before until I saw it. It was really interesting, and I have to thank my professor to link the video for us. Now I am able to scan an image to a file document.

The vidoecast is much more effective than the podcast because it shows you the ways of doing such a thing step by step using pictures. While I was listening to the podcast, I always lost my focus on what the broadcasters were saying, and it wasted my time. This time I could focus more and more on what he was saying, and that was merely because I was listening and watching it. The sound was much better, and it was like somebody or a professor speaking to you or teaching you at the class.

I think this kind of simulation videocast is an effective way to learn new skills because it is clear and understandable. Whenever you get confused, you can pause the video and watch what you missed again. Now I can say that sometimes it is better than going to the class to learn new things because it does exactly what the professors want to do. I think it is a good time to have some short video casts to learn some new things.
